Measure 2.6 «
Upgrading of the Undergraduate Studies Programme »
The objective of the
EPEAEK II programme is to upgrade the Undergraduate Programme
of Studies of the Department of Environment according to the
latest international educational practice and to familiarize
the students with modern educational methods. The core courses
(e.g. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Mathematics,
Environmental Economics, Sociology) are being enriched with
environmental applications and use of new technologies
(computer based courses, virtual laboratories etc.). Specialization courses are being enriched with real case studies, field exercises,
laboratories and simulations where the students will undertake
the roles of stakeholders in real environmental problems.
