Mandilas Christophoros
Degree (1994) in Environmental Studies. Undergraduate studies
at the Department of Forestry, Technical Education Institution
of Larissa (1986-88). He has been involved in a number of
research projects undertaken by the WML as an undergraduate
student at the Department of Environmental Studies, University
of the Aegean (1990-94). His collaboration with the WML for
a series of research projects continued on a freelance basis
as an external associate between1994-98. During the same period
he provided services in the area of environmental impact assessment
and waste disposal studies for construction works and other
businesses. From September 1998 to May 2001 he was a registered
PhD candidate in the field of waste management and a member
of the WML research team. His collaboration with the WML involved
waste disposal management, more specifically the siting and
risk analysis of Landfill Facilities. Other research interests
include methods for measuring environmental parameters, risk
management and the protection and promotion of selected areas
using multi-criteria environmental and spatial analysis.
