Learning Outcomes: |
The basic principles of the physical and chemical processes of water to be understood by the students. To emphasize the importance of the appropriate water management, starting from the water source till the treatment, so that it will reach to the final consumer at the desired quality in a reasonable cost without using up all the available water resources and without risking the future of the next generations. |

Sustainable management of water resources. Water treatment technologies. Pretreatment. Aeration and stripping. Mixing. Coagulation and flocculation. Sedimentation (settling). Flotation. Filtration. Chemical settling. Water hardness. Removal of manganese and iron. Chemical oxidation. Disinfection. Source and water treatment process selection. |
