COMPILATION OF YOUTH ENCYCLOPAEDIA IN ENGLISH

In the program of Youth European Encyclopaedia, an English Encyclopaedia will be compiled in co-operation with other European schools. This encyclopaedia is limited to entries concerning pupils and youths in general.

Sectors of life such as friendship, health, environment youth culture and others will be dealt with in this encyclopaedia. Through these subjects the understanding of other nation and their differences will have to be advanced.

The co-operation will be done, first of all via e-mail and half-yearly meetings of the compilation staff, as well. Weekly meetings of co-ordinations and planning will take place within the school.

The final output ought to vindicate the possible various views about these particular subjects. This is also the central target of the program, namely, the selection of the subjects associated with youths and the presentation of the different views. (Intercultural capability)

The working out of the odd entries can be done with miscellaneous forms of texts such as literary, documentary texts or romantic texts. Illustrations are also drawn.

There will be instructions in the assignments on various subjects so that the use of encyclopaedia during the lesson may become simplified.
