Writing and defending an Undergraduate Thesis is a prerequisite for a student to be awarded a first degree (i.e. a BA or a BSc) by most of the Departments at the University of the Aegean. The student writes his/her Thesis during the last semester of his/her undergraduate studies. In co-operation with his/her supervisor, s/he chooses the topic of his/her thesis. After the student has completed his/her Thesis, s/he defends it in front of a Three-Member Examining Committee, which is comprised of specialists in the topic of the Thesis. This Three-Member Examining Committee is also responsible for assessing and grading the Undergraduate Thesis.
