Teaching of Modern Greek language as a foreign language at the School of Social Sciences at University of Aegean

The School of Social Sciences of the University of Aegean organizes language courses in Greek language as a foreign language at the beginning of each semester. 

In the winter semester 2016-17 (3d of October 27th of January) will be offered the following language courses:

  1. Modern Greek language course free for charge and open to incoming Erasmus students and foreign students, researchers and professors, as well as to prospective students wishing to obtain the certificate of proficiency in the Greek language, which is a compulsory prerequisite for the enrolment into a faculty.
  2.  Greek language teaching course for foreign nationals (adults) who wish to learn Greek or improve their knowledge of Greek language upon payment of tuition fees.

Courses are available at 2 levels: A0-A1 and A2 corresponding to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). A higher level course will be activated in case of demand by a suitable number of students in possession of the prerequisite level. 

The courses will have a duration of 13 weeks, specifically of 3 two hourly sessions per week. 

An initial meeting of interested students will be held on Monday 3rd of October 2016 at 11.00 in Class Z of the Department of Marine Sciences at the University Hill.
